All About Me

My Name is Mariana Peralta, and I’m a bilingual certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC). I was born in Ecuador and raised in New York. I attended Lehman College and received my bachelors and Master of Science degrees. I am currently working at P.S 49 Willis Avenue School working with 3K, PRE-K, and Kindergarten-to-5th grade students with communication and language disorders for 9 years. Additionally, I work after school for an Early Intervention Agency providing home-based therapy for children ages 2-3 years.  I enjoy working with my students as well as their families in meeting their needs. I hope I can continue to work in meeting my students needs by providing them with the necessary speech and language skills to excel academically. I strongly encourage parents of all my speech students to work on speech at home in order for their children to make more progress. Children needs to be exposed to language and engage in fun interactive activities.
