About Ms. Russo

My name is Jennifer Russo, I was born in the Bronx and currently reside in Connecticut.  When I am not working at PS 49, you can find me spending quality time with my family, especially my children Adonis and Alina. 

 In 2012, I received my Masters in Special Education from Lehman College.  The 2022 - 2023 academic school year is my tenth year as an educator.  I started at PS 49X in 2013 as a math and science teacher.  In 2016, I became the Math and Science Instructional Coach for grades K-5.  As an Instructional Coach I often conduct classroom visits to provide teachers with feedback about lessons.  I provide teachers with resource recommendations, model lessons, co-teach, offer planning support and professional development.  I enjoy working with the teachers and paraprofessionals in our school community to build confidence in our students and develop a love for learning math and science.
